Content health tab

The Content health tab is the "what needs attention" hub of Analytics. It gathers the signals Topicary generates about your content into one view, so you can see at a glance what to fix. Unlike the other Analytics tabs, Content health needs no published site and no reader traffic. It analyzes your authored content directly.

Open the tab #

1. Go to Analytics in the sidebar.

2. The Content health tab is selected by default.

What the tab shows #

The tab composes four sections. Each one hides itself when it has no data, so you only see what is relevant.

• Content debt: a project-level score from 0 to 10 summarizing how much of your content is flagged by quality findings, aging, or overdue for verification. Open content gaps appear as a separate count under the factor bars, not as a debt factor. Read it in depth in Content debt score.

• Docs-as-tests: findings from the weekly automated validation that checks for broken links, changed API endpoints, and invalid code samples. See Docs-as-tests validation.

• Health scan recommendations: a summary of what the nightly scan flagged, as one count per action. See Automated lifecycle recommendations.

• Structure suggestions: proposals to organize your content, such as creating a taxonomy from tags your topics already share, setting a topic's type, or splitting an overloaded map into sub-maps. See Review structure suggestions.

Health scan recommendations #

This section summarizes rather than lists. It states how many topics the latest scan flagged, shows one neutral chip per action with its count, and hands off to the worklist:

• Choose Scan now, the refresh icon in the section header, to queue a scan immediately.

• Choose Review in Demand to open the ranked worklist, which is where you act on these recommendations. See Prioritize what to write next.

When a scan runs into trouble, a line appears above the summary: Last scan completed partially — some checks could not run. or Last scan failed — checks could not run. Results may be incomplete. A degraded scan keeps the section visible even when it produced no recommendations, so a failed scan never reads as a clean bill of health.

Structure suggestions #

Suggestions are grouped by type: Conditions, Variables, Tags, Topic types, and Map structure. Each card shows a confidence badge, a plain preview of exactly what accepting it would create, and a Details disclosure where you can rename the thing being created and uncheck members before you accept.

• Accept with the check icon, or dismiss with the X.

• Accepted and Dismissed history disclosures sit below the pending groups. Accepted suggestions offer View and, where Topicary recorded what was created, Revert. Dismissed ones offer Restore.

• Choose Re-analyze, the refresh icon in the section header, to look for new suggestions.

You only see suggestion types your plan can actually accept, so a type your plan does not include produces no card rather than a locked one. See Plans and limits. For the full review flow, including editing a proposal before you accept it, see Review structure suggestions.

How it relates to the rest of Analytics #

Content health is the authoring-side view: it scores and flags the content you already have. The other tabs are the reader-side view: what people search for, ask the AI, and cannot find. The Prioritize what to write next page combines both into a single ranked worklist of what to do next.
